I first went to Dr. Ioncheva-Barehmi to get a second opinion on a tooth my long-time regular dentist had told me needed a root canal because the pulp was exposed while drilling to remove a deep cavity.  The tooth was aching but not unbearably. Dr. Ioncheva-Barehmi told me it probably needed a root canal but there was a laser treatment which could be tried to kill the bacteria that was causing the infection, though no guarantee of success.  I wanted to try everything possible before concluding that a root canal was the only option.  After the laser treatment, which was painless and brief, it took a few days for the discomfort in the tooth to subside, and I also worked with an energy healer.  After three months the pain had not returned so we proceeded with the crown.
